What am I fighting for?

As a 34 years of single man, what is happiness? Is there meaning in the persuit of happiness?

For years I've been told, I'm not good enough, I've never done enough, I'am too hesitant, I'm too angry, too timid, too foolish, too immature, my criteria in life is too high, it's never enough. Ironically, when I think about it, these has been people's label of me.

For 6 years on dating app but never got anyone I felt genuine. 7 years straight of rejections in person since 2019, 14 years I have not once dated in my life. 2 years of Christian dating event and people I'm paired with are just bad.

For 27 years I'm always at the short end of the stick at school, church and social circles. In school I was bullied, betrayed, used and abused. In church my own leaders abandoned me, my own people took me for granted. Home was never a place of peace. It was fights and stress. For years I battled depression, suicidal thoughts, self harm. My only escape, was serving God.

For as long as I remember, my father was always abscent, my mother was always angry and unreasonable, my parents finally divorced after being seperated for a decade, I have not talk to my father for 3 years. Why does my friends have a normal home compared to me? Parents they can look up to? Financial stability which they don't have to worry about? They could go places I can't go, they could do things they don't have to worry about. I grew up angry, not wanting to be home, hated for ever existing. I had to battle to live, battle to take care of my family. I'm called matured but inside, I think I've been dead.

When it's the persuit of relationships, I have always been surrounded in non-Christian groups almost all my life. With the little Christian cirles I have, single Christian girls are already hard to come by. They are either dating or always not interested.

I asked God, 'am I still not good enough? Am I still a 'work in progress', am I still short of a standard. Why am I alone. Why are my friends gone, why am I still single? Why is my family in shambles. Why people who bullied me get success, those who are supposedly less deserving have happy life's or can experience God's goodness?

At work I never got the support I asks for. I get bosses who were old school, stubborn, refuse to listen to the people on the ground, overly ambitious, lack structure, empty promises, disorganized. I've work hard, poured my time and effort, not taking leaves or MC when I'm sick. Yet once a new hire comes in, onces someone takes over my roles, once I dropped the ball once or twice, I'm treated like the worse worker in the office when the rest of the workers were worse than me everyday. I have CEO twisting my words to protect themselves, I have Managers calling out my work performances when they don't know why the job takes so long or due to their own lack of preperations I have to fix their problems.

With friends, I'm always walking on eggshells yet I get stepped on.

In love I try the long game, short game, fast to know, slow friendship, be nice, not so nice, dress better, put effort. I read up about relationships, I went counselling, I tried self improvement, I made goals, I work hard. I honestly don't know what else to do. I went for Christian dating event but I always still get the short ends.

Recently, a friend ask, do I like someone or do I like the idea of being with someone. When I fall in love, it's because of the quality I find in a person. I told God the only thing I ever ask in this life is a family of my own. Wife, kids house and to provide well for them. Looking at it. Who am I now as a person, my experience. I do doubt myself. Not because of this current rejection or any. But because I can never measure up to others. Sometimes, it is the classical, I like them but they don't like me. You are the kind of person we want in a partner. But not someone we would date. Every time that is what I'm told. It is exhausting and tiring to fall in love and get rejected again and again.

By now I'm already very alone. My friends are all gone overseas. For the most part my church cirles are gone or have their own cliques or families. So what's the conclusion of this disaapointing post? Don't be nice at work. Never give your all because people will always take it for granted. Don't fall in love with people you are close to in your own circle, your own church is never the right place to find a partner. When everything and everyone is againts you, sometimes, not caring about the world is the best choice. We just need to wait for our end because life for people like me is meaningless.

I'm not writing this cause I'm asking for pity, nor am I blaming those who rejected me. But I also know people who have experience the same thing as me. All I ask God if singleness is His plan for me. If yes, then tell me so I don't have to keep going thru this cycle again and again.

My Late Grandfather

It's been about 11 months since the passing of my late grandfather, Lim Teng Hoon @ Lim Peng Hoon.

History.

Gramps always tells his story of how he came to Malaysia. My great-grandfather came to Malaysia first during the occupation of China by the Imperial Japanese Army. Later, my great-grandmother sends my grandpa over to Malaysia before heading over herself. He would travel down south thru Cambodia and Thailand before making his way to Muar, Johor.

Here,  he worked hard and made a name for himself as one of the best photographers in Muar. Most people from both his and my mother's generations would know of him very well. He would always photograph schools, weddings, and events. He would even enter the Salon competition, traveling overseas just for the event. Apparently, once he even got a camera sign from Queen Elizabeth herself. Sadly it was stolen when his shop was broken into.

Many people see him as a healthy old man who manages to live to 100 years old on the Chinese calendar. The only sad thing is we could not celebrate it with a big feast as he lay in the hospital bed.

Many things to say about him, the good, the bad, and the funny things.

I used to always love visiting him. Muar is just rich in culture and food. His house was very big, it was cool, like a time capsule from the previous era so I was sad he sold it off when he decided to move to KL permanently to stay with his children. Despite the language barrier, I guess big hugs and the long story was his one way to show his affection.

My only regret was that I could not speak either Mandarin or Hainanese and he would always tell people that I can't speak it. I was annoyed and humiliated at first but in the end, I just learn to accept it and just enjoy those weird awkward moments. Believe me, I tried to learn Mandarin and failed miserably after half a year.

Gramps was also a strict and stern person when it comes to certain stuff. A typical stubborn old Chinese man who always thinks his methods are correct. I remember as a child, he came over to help renovate my home. When he was stuck trying to figure out what to do, I gave a suggestion and both he and my dad told me to go away as I was too young and do not know anything. Funny enough, at the end they did what I suggested.

He was also a gullible Mongolian doctor. Meaning, he always self-medicates and sometimes eats really weird stuff until he gets a good scolding from his own children. To improve his gut, he believed that he should drink loads of Yakult and Vitagen, the original flavour. Once he ran out and I suggested he drank the apple flavour. He said those are only for children. Haha. Many times he would not eat food, meds or drinks if the packaging changed which made us keep all of the old packaging so that it would be easier to manage his expectations.

I could continue about the headache he gives me like how he favour certain people, how despite being a Christian he still follows traditions which are bad like my name is not in the family tree or tombstone, he would always flood the house whenever he cleans the fishtank despite having a shaking hand, he would still how because he is older means he is right or he loves to complain about things which do not fit his ways even though he is staying with me. However, all in all, I still love him despite his shortcoming.

He would always say that he was content with life, achieving many things, making a name for himself in Muar as a photographer, witnessing most of his grandchildren's university graduations, that he get to see his great-grandchildren too, living up till 100. That he was always ready to go back to the Lord and meet Grandma again.

Even when he got into his 90's, he would still refuse to use a walking stick, he would refuse to use the stairlifts because he don't want to be thought of as old, nor would he take a break and continue to do gardening which could really injure him. I guess, his stubbornness is a good thing too because he would never give up no matter what until he feels fulfilled.

One thing I will remember him for is his story of seeking the Kingdom of God first. When he became a Christian, he gave up Sunday, a good day for a photographer to do business. So that he could go to church and honour God. He always felt that by putting God first, God blessed him with the ability to send all his children to study overseas and also blessed him to live this long.

May God bless his soul as he finally rests peacefully in the arms of the Lord.

Banyak Susah Untuk Cinta

When I was young, compared to my other friends, I was more of a romantic person. Always dreaming for the day I could have a girlfriend. Like I was always desperate for love. Always wanting to find and understand, to feel what love is. Not a family love, not a friend love, but a romantic love. Well, things happen and school life comes and goes.

2010, college was when I wanted to explore and be rebellious. There weren't many Christian girls hence I just tried my 'luck' but again, no dice. There was one potential girl but I made a mistake and that too never happened.

When I started to work in 2016, life became quieter. No more peers, no meeting new people, and this continued on till 2019 when I thought I had met a nice girl but that too was fruitless.

Over the course of the MCO due to Covid 19, I tried going online dating to find a potential partner. However, over the course of 1 1/2 years, I gave up. People online did not seem genuine. Now here I am pondering why am I still single.

It came to me that God most likely protected me. Now. I'm not saying all the girls I meet are bad. It's just that the majority were non-Christians which definitely goes against God's law to be equally yoke. Furthermore, some left the faith, some were never faithful and some are only Christian by name.

With that being said, as I grew older, I realized that loving someone is not just about lovey-dovey and romance. It is more than that. A Christian relationship is a covenant between man and God. It is a serious matter. It is with a great purpose and plan made by God. Having a partner of an equal yoke will allow the family, the love, and the future prospect of the family to have a firm foundation in Christ.

1 Corinthians 13

New King James Version

The Greatest Gift

1 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal.

2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.

3 And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing.

4 Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up;

5 does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil;

6 does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth;

7 bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

8 Love never fails. But whether there are prophecies, they will fail; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away.

9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part.

10 But when that which is perfect has come, then that which is in part will be done away.

11 When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things.

12 For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known.

13 And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.

We all know this great verse. It's always been quoted by both believers and non-believers alike that this is the ultimate form of love especially for couples.

Looking at verses 4 - 8, we can see it in another way by replacing the word love with your own name. Am I, Jeffrey, patient? Am I kind?

The question to ask myself as a Christian is, am I filled with the Holy Spirit? Am I emulating God's love? I know I cannot be perfect, but am I even trying? That is the biggest question. I know my flaws and I acknowledge them. Every day, every week, every month, every year, I struggle and try my hardest to always be right in the eyes of the Lord cause I love him, and I want to be his faithful servant.

At the end of the day, I do want to have a partner in this lifetime. I do want to start a family. I want somebody to love and to be loved by somebody. However, I also understand I'm not a great person. Heck, I would give girls reasons not to date me.

I'm not rich, I'm not handsome or macho, I'm not smart, I'm not an entrepreneur or a CEO, I don't have a property nor do I drive fast cars and I grew up in a broken family.

The only thing  I can promise is, faithfulness in God, faithfulness in a partner, family is my top priority, and that I'm genuine when it comes to caring for people I care about.

I'm already 31 years old, so let's see where God leads me, who He puts in my life, and who I will meet. One thing is for sure, as much I would like a romantic life, I'm looking but I'm not desperate, nor am I rushing.

Protecting Students

Working with an NGO and from my personal experience, I really see how some people are so unequipped and unaware on prevention, cyber wellness and cyber bullying specially in schools.

Someone joined my sister's online class every day, using her name but never turn on their camera. The fella took a screenshot of her and then used it to make an Instagram account to impersonate her. It caused her an emotional ride for a few weeks and she didn't felt safe.

So this was what happen:
1) Some teachers took personal actions to check who is coming into the class and removing unwanted people.

2) One teacher said it was alright to let such a person attend the class and that my sis is just sensitive.

3) Calling up the headmistress, she said it was just a 'prank' and kept insisting to both my mum and I that its nothing to be worried about that kids are just playing a fool. I'm sure she will say differently if it was her own child.

I found out that for the whole duration of the study from home, they have been suing the same password, same link and some rooms doesn't even need approval. I cannot understand how hard it is to manage. Just changing the online class password and link would have been a step to solving the issue but no, they wanted to discuss it a few weeks later on what action to take.

So in total, it took about a month plus to resolve the issue which I guess is how most schools deal with any form of bullying. SLOW. If a student were to post something to defame the school it would have been settled the next day.

Not bashing the teachers, the school or the administrations but seriously, our sense of urgency and priorities are really lacking in our education. We care more about prestigious, the number of excellent students we can churn out and the name of the students.

Belated 23rd Birthday Post

Well, this was suppose to be my personal birthday post but well, I've been procrastinating.

Since my last post, I just turn 23 just last month and I feel the need to be more mature and responsible. Doing my assignments, my final year project, training with the softball society, making time to serve in church, helping in building a new ministry in church, spending time with my friends and family and to always be ready to give a helping hand or a listening ears to others.

I think to say that with many people coming and going in my life, I'm glad to meet so many people in my life. So I've decided to write a short post of some of the experience I found interesting and on the people I've meet.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I've been experiencing many things especially during my internship. Stuff like how the industry function, what people do, how it is done, why, how adverts have to go through censorship, the different terminology and much more. Just take note that I did not get any special treatment. I got proper projects and have to learn to us a Mac and Final Cut Pro editing software in a few hours on my first day.

Thought it was hectic, I guess I do not have any regrets for interning at this company but I definitely might not want to work in this industry. It really does give me the understanding on how stress the post production house are. Despite the stress, I guess laughter and jokes was the only thing keeping most of the people from going nuts. Example, posing with me while I was sleeping at my workstation.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In college, there is a group of students calling themselves the Awesome group!!! It consist of students with many different personalities and character. We went through a hell loads of assignments, completing our Diploma, going through our Degree, some even plan to study overseas in the future (one went to Ireland instead).

In Genting Klang, Prima Setapak which is now like a 2nd home to me, there are Gazo (aka Panda), Ee Ching (my balcony chit chat buddy), Amber, Rex, Evans, Edward (have the most Gundam), Khai Cheng, (Ksea or KC) and Chew Poh. They build loads of Gundam,Valvrave and One Piece models too. I'm actually interested to see them build a wall out of the Gundam boxes XD. The one thing I love about their house is balcony. Here, I can see the sun, enjoy the wind and to just relax and quiet down my heart.

There are also Guan Fung (the most joyful person), Lance (DoTA player), Cherry and Timothy. Even new friends like Eunice and Chin Keat have join our group!!!

In the class there used to be the 3 J's. Me, Jaymie and Jocelyn (4 J's if you count Hooi Joe Ee :P). I remember a time where we wanted to group together for our English presentation. Sadly the class "begged" us to reconsider. Hahaha.

Me and Jocelyn were apparently called the "genius" or the most "hardworking" one among our groups of friends. True or not, compared to her, I'm just too tired to fight through my final semester of degree. Jocelyn is always very responsible and it was almost impossible to make her skip a lecture. If you need help/ advice, she will be there to listen and talk to you. On a side note, SHE IS THE FIRST TO GET MARRIED IN OUR GROUP!!! (-_-)

Then there is Jaymie, whom to me is someone I can call my best/ close friend (to me). She is a very fun and bubbly person with an awesome fashion sense. She can also be very caring towards the peoples she cares about.
Truth to be told, thanks to her being straight forward and honest to me on so many occasions, she actually did put some sense into me (I'm really glad she did). I tend to always remember the Domo she always bring around. Even in photos, that Domo is so noticeable XD

There is many things I could talk about my college mates but then it will be like writing a book thicker than an Oxford dictionary.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As long as I can remember, I've attended Melawati Gospel Centre. The youth numbers are smal, but we try to make do with what we have.  Its thanks to being around this people, and to those who took time and effort to help me, I was able to overcome my depression in my early years of secondary school.

Here is also where I meet friends who were interested in hiking. I'm so glad because I got the experience to hike up one of the most awesome hill in KL. Tabur!!! I even did my first 10km run with this people.

I guess the greatest thing I could experience here is to serve God in many ways. As a drummer, in the youth committee, camp committee, maintaining the church PC and helping out in various ministries to just spread not only the Gospel, but also the love of God to others.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

There is my childhood friends, Yap Sern and Zarrah. This two have always been by my side when I was so depressed and suicidal (yes, I was suicidal. find it in my old emo post. It was a phase. Sue me). We would always hang out until it was late at night/ early in the morning. Chatting away, playing video games, going for a night drive. When we were younger, we would grab our bikes or walk to the nearest 7-Eleven in the Melawati Town and getting an earful by the time we all got home.

I'm glad that even though its be so long since we meet and left our childhood, we are still close, trying to take time off from our busy schedule to meet each other and enjoy our time just like the old days.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

However, the greatest things about being 23 years old, is that I learned one very valuable lesson. DON'T BE PASSIVE!!!

So a passive person is someone who is someone who sacrifice their own preferences and needs, so that they can help others to meet their preferences and needs. There will be times in life when a person need to be passive, or, where being passive at that moment will allow one to build a positive relationship in the long run. The problem arises when they become consistently passive.

I was told about how people noticed how I treat myself, it really struck me to a realization. All this while I thought that being passive is good but actually, it was making it look like I'm their slave instead of a friend, that being overly passive is never a good thing.

So not wanting to hurt  the people around me, and to fix this bad attitude of mine, I took time to sit quietly, and think about it. So helping others is something good but bad if it is killing me and making myself looks like I'm below my friends. Well, problem seems easy enough to solve. While reading and asking others about this topic (surprisingly everyone felt that I was being passive and never dared to tell me!!!), I found out that there should be a balance and I hope I could change this bad attitude of mine.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Indeed, I'm blessed with meeting many people throughout my life. Experiencing many things with them, doing crazy stuff and learning together before we hit the working life. I pray that God will bring more people into my life.

Belated New Year Post

Well, originally this was suppose to be titled as "Welcome 2015!!! A New Hope!!! A New Adventure!!!". However this have been sitting in my draft until today because I've been so busy.

However, for a busy college student, life can be hectic and tiring as there is many things to do. I just pray that it will be a more exciting and adventurous year to learn and try out new things as well as to keep growing closer to God. Without further ado, let me present to you how my December and Christmas was like!!!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The End of 2014

2014 was a really busy year for me because I have been busy with college, freelance and personal work. As usual, I would still make way to help organize for camp. Don't get me wrong. I love organizing stuff although I may not be a good in it or being a leader. However, thanks to God, I could manage my time and cramp in a lot of activities without breaking down and giving up but unfortunately, my body won't agree and I kept falling sick XD

This year we were back in Dominic Villa with our speaker, Uncle Dexter Ng for MGCYP Camp 2014, Focus on God. !!! Who was also my principle for RBS 2010. Furthermore, this was also our (mine too) 10th Youth Camp after the apparent long break by our YP seniors. Weather was cold, peaceful and even one of the morning was beautiful and blue with a beautiful sunrise glow.

Due to popular demand, we, the committee even decided to bring back just crazy fun. Filling up 200 water balloons and carrying them up hill in buckets. Everything was worth it though as we started the game. Water balloons flying, people shouting and screaming. Just pure fun and laughter especially when the balloons just bounce off people.

We even have two new friends outside of church. Daniel and Jeff (my nickname too XD) So anyway, I guess it was good considering that all of us could get along and try to build that friendship with one another.
We have games and crazy fun, screaming and fears. It was just too fun especially since we the committee can scare the campers. hehehe... We have the usual talent night with talented performers as well as our station games to run around and scream!!! Although I could not join them to play, I still find it fun to watch the campers enjoying themselves.

Food was catered this year since the original caretaker and cook left the place. No matter, the catered food are just alright until the very last day!!! It was the best and we even took this photo just so Cikgu could see what she is missing out on!!! XD

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Here comes the part of the year which most of us always look forward to. CHRISTMAS!!! We practice like mad (some of us), with all our heart and might, even when we were busy, sick or having sore throat. I mean, its all glory and honor to God. To share the good news about the birth of His son Jesus Christ.

Our coordinator is Yee Ling, our musicians are Samson and Reuben on the guitar and Wei Ling on the UKULELE!!! What made this year interesting was the song choice and how it was played. It was more upbeat, entertaining and really different. With the Ukulele to give a warm lively feeling to the song, it really made it fun to sing, to jump to and dance with!!!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Then there is our yearly OA Christmas mission trip!!! The twist is we had to take the back road into the next state all because December 2014 had one of the worst flood!!! as we were traveling into the state, we could see the water rising. Petrol station was rationing. We were worried that we could get in but could not get out for the next day was a working day. However, thanks

Water reached up to my waist by the time I reached to the porched of the house!!! We shared the gospel and the true meaning of Christmas to our brothers and sisters in Christ. We had lunch with them, talked and shared stories and pray. No matter the condition or even the trouble we faced, by trusting God we made it home safely even with time to spare at Mc Donald. :P

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

WELCOME 2015!!!

Semester break was a bore and it was mostly sitting at home and rotting away. Though I did meetup with some friends here and then, took the time to attempt to make a NERF gun and played games on the PS3 at my friend's place. Sadly time was up and internship began on the 2nd of February!!!

T___T

So its been 10 days and so far I feel stress out. I'm an editor at a post production company, weekdays 10am to 7pm with Saturday 10am -1pm with Sunday off. I'm not really enjoying it since I can't really see my family or meet up with my friends anymore and there is literally no time for myself.

On the other hand, the experience and job is interesting. Editing trailers and behind the scene videos for big companies like Sony and Disney and even some small adverts. It just makes me feel special that I'm sort of working with this big companies. The only draw back is the amount of spoiler I watched everyday. Looks like movies in 2015 is not going to be an interesting year for me.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

What is more interesting so far for this year is RBS graduation night. Beating an hour of jam, tired and exhausted after work, hungry, just to watch Wei Ling, Jannie and Eammon and all of the other new batch of RB 2015 students graduating really reminds me of the life changing experience I had in 2015. Though I guess mine was very dramatic with much tears and used tissues.

Hearing their testimonies really encourage and remind me about the commitment and fire I had during my year. When I was on that stage with everyone. With the thought, we will be changing the world step by step. We will become light and salt of the world. We are work in progress. A rough crystal waiting to be processed even further. To be cut and polished. So that when got light shines on us, we will be bright like the stars.

I pray that the testimony of RBS 2015, from the experience and learning, the growth and being closer to God, will enable them to become the future, the salt and light of the world. Bringing glory honor and praise to God.

1% February and 99% March

Well, it's going to be the end of March. So many things to do, so little time. Now that I reflect back on the past 2 months, a lot have happen and half of the time I didn't realize that time really fly by so fast.

I forgot to mention this in my last post that my sisters and I celebrated mum's birthday!!! Both Emily and me (mostly me) made cheese cake for mum as a gift but mum had sore throat so I ate most of the cake instead. hahaha. In my family, eating two whole cheese cake for a meal or in a day is like no problem at all =P HAPPY BIRTHDAY MUM!!! Thanks for raising a troublesome son like me :')

Well, in February everything was just exciting, fun and peaceful but March is fast like a running steam train with the added buildup of stress due to college life!!! The heat, haze and water rationing just make everything worse. It came to the point I had to take a morning bath in college because I was already running late for class!!! Assignments is just another killer. With the added pressure of assignments pilling up which is due in a 5 days, I'm surprise I can still be calm.

For March, my time was mostly focused with the church activities. For us the youth, we had a combine worship and games with the Sunday School children :) Yee Ling as trying to get everyone especially the kids to do some action songs but sadly, they are just too shy.

Wei Ling on the other hand did games where we are instructed to cross an imaginary river using limited paper rocks.

The two groups competing who will be the fastest to cross over

Game coordinator, Wei Ling in purple, overseeing the game.

The first 2 to get across

Churn Haw, the inventor of skating paper rocks

The colorful paper stones

Well, next was RBS 2014 graduation night and it was my first time driving to PJGH!!! Got both Reuben and Yee Ling to accompany me there. RBS graduation night really reminded me about my time. It was just so nostalgic. It felt like I was back in 2010. Time really flies and so many things have happen since I graduated.

My usual paranomic view of PJGH :P

This year, we have Colin Kirton as the Principal

RBS 2014. This year from MGC we have Esther and Charmaine

Yee Ling with her batch of RBS 2012

What is left of RBS 2010

Later we had Joanne join us later

Well, it was really a great night to be able to attend the graduation night. I get to hear the testimonies and experience that the students obtain from their time in RBS. It really reminded me of the promise I made in my RBS year. To become a better person, to continue to serve God, to be salt and light to the world, and to help to grow the church in any way possible be it through the Youth, the congregation or Sunday School .

At the end of the graduation night, I manage to meet a few old friend and to be able to talk to Uncle Dexter, Colin, Rudi and Uncle Ritchie. Now I'm looking forward to the next batch. RBS 2015!!! :) When it was time to go back, Reuben went home with his family and I send Yee Ling went back to her hostel which was just 5- 10 minute away from PJGH. So meaning, I had to travel all the way home. ALONE!!! T.T Luckily I din't fell asleep.

For the first time in my life, I got to visit an orphanage, with the youth!!! The kids there are really open and super duper friendly. The first thing they did when they meet us was not ignoring us and sitting down quietly but they came to us and greeted us with happily with big smiles on their faces. We started off with worship and the kids was just so happy and sang with us (more like sang for us) even though we only brought a tambourine. They sang and did all the actions for the songs. Even for the banana dance!!!

Yee Ling and Kimberly organizing the games

Visiting the orphanage was really an interesting new experience. For our first time, I will say we did alright. A few was nervous, there was panic, some was anxious, others was excited and me on the other hand was just relax. Haha. I'm glad to see that everyone slowly got to open up to each other and some of us was just so happy playing with them.

Well, it was really an interesting month for March and I can't wait for the trip to the Orang Asli which is in 4 days!!! The exam to end and for my semester break to start!!! :)
